Why don’t people find the time to write down goals? They may be afraid. If you write down a goal, there’s an expectation that you must achieve it. And if you don’t achieve it, you’re a failure. Our subconscious mind tells us to avoid that. So people don’t even begin. But this is a mistake, because there is so much that can be accomplished! How can people get started?

It’s true that fear of failure holds us back. But most of the time we just need some help to get started. This is where coaching comes in. It’s ok to ask your friends what they think, but a professional can get to what you need a lot faster.

Our lives are so busy is another reason why people don’t set goals. We are too focussed on short term objectives to see the big picture. Unless you take time out for yourself and have some kind of teacher or mentor, it will be hard to set up your future. Schools should do this but don’t really address it.
